Carolyn and Wayne.

As a product of a broken family, the idea of marriage is sometimes frightening.
At times I admittedly am hesitant, and it is hard to have faith in the concept.

But then, I simply think of my grandparents...
8 children, 21 grandchildren, 60+ years of marriage later...
and the two still hold hands.

 ❤❤❤❤
They are my inspiration.

  2. This is adorable and I completely agree with you, hands down. I hope to hold hands forever with my one and only too. :)

  3. This is such a precious post!
This actually reminds me of my boyfriend's grandparents. I never met them, unfortunately, but Sean tells me stories of how they were married for more than 60 years and loved each other more and more every day. <3
I dream of us being the same way when we're older. C: <3

  5. Another post I missed that brought tears to my eyes. Two days ago they celebrated their 63rd anniversary, up in Virginia, while visiting there for a grandson's (Colin) confirmation. They are still blowing and going---I think they were only home one weekend this month due to travelling to a first communion in Nashville, a graduation in Baton Rouge, and a confirmation in Fairfax, near DC. 8 kids, 21 grandkids, 4 great grandkids (with another on the way) later....they are amazing! Thanks for this post, Emmy. Love, Aunt Vicki
